Description: Children are like buds in a garden and should be carefully and lovingly nurtured, as they are the future of the nation and the citizens of tomorrow. (Jawaharlal Nehru) As the nation celebrates the birth anniversary of our first Prime Minister, Pt. Jawaharlal Nehru and his love for children in the form of Children’s Day, a Special Assembly was held at Delhi Public School, Bareilly on Saturday, November 13th, 2021 to mark this occasion, conducted by the Teachers. As usual, it began with chanting of shloks, lamp lighting and a prayer sung by Ma'am Hina Rizvi to seek the blessings of the Almighty. Sir Kaushal Babu Sharma delivered the thought while Ma’am Mahe Paiker Khan added to our vocabulary a new word. Ma’am Alveera Khan had everyone in splits as she read the News that made headlines at DPS. Ma’am Saba Siraj delivered a speech to throw light on the importance of Children's Day. All the students had a delightful time. There was a group song sung by the teachers which held everyone captive with their melodious rendition of a parody. The Principal, Mr. V.K Mishra wished all the children happiness and added that they are the ‘Nation Builders’ as the future of the nation is vested in them. He expressed his hope that they would lead the nation successfully to its growth and prosperity, assuring them that they are loved and valued by all.
